 Pope Francis Center
Detroit, MI
For more than 30 years, the Pope Francis
Center has served individuals experiencing
homelessness in Detroit, MI.
The Foundation provided grants to finance
construction of the new Bridge Housing Campus
(BHC).
The BHC opened its doors to its first residents
in October 2024. The 60,000-square-foot facility
includes 40 studio apartments. Residents stay
for 90 to 120 days while receiving medical care,
mental health services, addiction treatment, job
training, and housing support.
 Cross Catholic Outreach
Guatemala
In Guatemala, Cross Catholic Outreach is working
with the Father Navarro Center, part of Our Lady
of Carmen’s Parish in Guatemala City, to address
generational poverty head-on.
With a grant from the Foundation, the Center’s
new “El Carmelo Training Center,” opened
in 2024. The facility offers educational and
vocational training to students who have not
completed traditional schooling, providing
opportunities to break the cycle of poverty and
reduce vulnerability to gang involvement.
